Support RICKY, Inc's Mission

comedy for a cause

On Thursday April 9, 2026, Ricky, Inc. will be hosting a Comedy Show Fundraiser to benefit our nonprofits mission of helping those suffering from homelessness, substance use disorder and mental health concerns. The show will feature Boston's most celebrated comedians, Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney and hosted by Jimmy Tingle.

We are a 100% nonprofit organization, and all proceeds go back into the community where they belong. No-one at Ricky, Inc. has ever been paid and never will; we are ALL volunteers working towards the common goal of helping those in crisis.

Over the past six years, with your help, we have distributed over 3,700 backpacks filled with numerous personal hygiene products, seasonal clothing and many more necessary items. We have distributed over 2,200 doses of Naloxone (Nasal Narcan) which is a life-saving opioid reversal spray, we have provided thousands of Fleece blankets, thermal emergency blankets, socks, winter hats, gloves, neck warmers, scarfs and hand warmers to unhoused persons and to public health organizations that serve this community. We have provided hundreds of rent scholarships to persons in treatment that were facing a return to the streets due to their financial constraints and were given a second chance for recovery. Ricky, Inc. has also provided hundreds of rides to Detox, CSS, TSS and other treatment facilities through our Uber Transportation Program.

"Ricky, Inc. has been able to provide these materials and services and much, much more, but only because of your kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion".

Please join us on April 9th at The Norwood Theatre for an evening of fun and laughter and know that your attendance will make a difference in the life of someone in need.

God bless,

Ricky, Inc. Board of Directors

partners access & RICKY, Inc. Making a Difference

access

We visited our friends at Access - Drug User Health Program on Thursday, December 18th. Brian Sink, Manager who has always invited us to see new programs, new spaces at ACCESS.

This visit Rich saw the renovations that are currently being done. The main space where clients come is receiving fresh paint all new comfortable furniture creating a welcoming space for clients to sit, draw, read, or take a much-needed rest from the elements with a hot drink. Brian took the time to show Rich where the memory items of beloved family, and friends that have passed leaving love ones heartbroken. Brian and team have created a space that items left by loved ones leaving something precious to them that is in memory of their person. Once renovations are complete these items will be respectfully returned to their special place.

We donated backpacks full of winter gear, tee shirts, undergarments, markers, sketch pads and more for clients. Brian has become a good friend to both Rich and I. We respect the thought that goes into every program at ACCESS, creating a safe space for some vulnerable clients that need this kind of respect and kindness that is not always found in other programs. We are posting the renovation photos because the team is very grateful and excited, they are able to provide this new space for their clients.

filled to the top with supplies

On January 7, 2026, Ricky Inc visited two programs that share a space. AHOPE which we have been collaborating with for years. Please visit their website they are so much more than a needle exchange program they provide much needed/lifesaving programs to the most vulnerable of clients that visit them daily.

We also visited PAATHS who provides case managers to work with individuals who are looking to begin their recovery journey. They meet clients where they are and work very hard with the client to get them into the right treatment program that fits their needs.

We have worked with these two programs PAATHS and AHOPE for years. Please visit their websites to learn more about the important work they do.

Both programs are located at 774 Albany Street, Boston. We thank both programs for all their hard work and the kindness and respect they provide to their community.

harm reduction resources

Pictured in the Greg King Drop-in Center is Mike Fitzgibbon, a long-time Team Ricky member who helped us deliver the backpacks today and Sarah Mackin the Director of AHOPE.

Sarah gave Mike an informative tour of the facility and detailed information about the numerous resources that AHOPE provides to its clients. Mike came away with great deal of positive information about Harm Reduction and its importance.

Pictured from left Mike, Sarah, Kenny Washington, Asst. Director, Kenya Andrews from PAATHS, Rich and another PAATHS case worker, I apologize we don't have her name.

Between the two programs we provided 80 backpacks, tee shirts, undergarments, and extra socks to give out to clients as needed and 160 doses of Narcan inside the backpacks (2 doses per bag).

AHOPE Needle Exchange is with Ricky Inc.

We are so incredibly grateful to our friends at Ricky, Inc. for this amazing winter delivery of backpacks, warm weather gear, socks, underwear, and hygiene supplies to AHOPE and PAATHS.

Almost everyone we serve is currently experiencing homelessness—living in shelters or surviving on the streets.

These supplies will help our folks stay warmer, safer during the winter months, and it serves as a reminder that they are loved and supported, despite the anti-homeless sentiment and policies at the local and federal level.

Thank you, Ricky Inc, for showing up for our community in such a meaningful way.

“We truly couldn’t do this work without partners like you”.
